Animal Data – Most Teeth – a Bar Graph

Imagine having more than 25,000 teeth to take care of! It would take a long time to brush your teeth every morning and every night! Adult humans have 32 teeth in their mouth. But there are animals that have much more than that.

A fun fact about animals and teeth is that one of the tiniest animal on Earth, the snail, has the most teeth than any other living creature. Snails have between 14,000 and 25,600 teeth!

In this excercise we will look at how many teeth some of the most popular animals have and which one of these has the most teeth.

Download the Google Sheet with the Data

Notice in our bar chart we have included the exact numbers on each bar. These are our data labels. In many cases graphs will include data labels.

In our data we are looking at some of the more popular animals like dogs, cats, horses, etc.

There are less popular animals that have several hundred teeth! How cool is that!

Here is a video for you to follow along and create the same bar graph in Google Sheets
